What a good welcome to my first Grand Slam of the year than playing in one of the best tennis complex in the world: The Melbourne Park. This impressive and contemporary stadium is the site for the tournament during its 102nd edition. You can feel the energy through the corridors, in the players and press lounges, and of course, in the main battlefield: The tennis court.

Just as I expected, the competition to win the prize is extremely hard, nobody gives a chance to their opponents. It is such a great honor for me to be here, representing my beloved Colombia in a maximum international tennis circuit, playing at Melbourne Park.

If you ever have the chance, I suggest you to attend to this tournament. It is amazing. It is an honor to participate because everything is combined to make this an amazing experience: the weather (even though sometimes it’s too much heat), the attention and kindness of the organizer, and of course, the site: Melbourne, a beautiful and modern city with lots of history.

I bid farewell to Australia, an enigmatic country to which I hope to come back soon. My next stop awaits for me across the Pacific Ocean. See you at Viña del Mar, Chile. The following will be a clay court event, fact that will demand some adjustments on the tactics and strategies but the same competitive spirit and a winning attitude.
