The Colombian tennis player was eliminated of the Kitzbühel ATP 250 after losing against the German player, P. Kohlschreiber in the R2.

The match was scheduled to take place in the first turn of the main court at 6 am. The match lasted about an hour and ended up with final scores of 0-6 and 2-6 on favor of the German player who moves to quarterfinals.

The Colombian racket did not deliver throughout the match, as it was not strong on its serve. The Teutonic player generated 15 break chances but Santi could only save 6 of them, allowing his opponent to score nine times.

In the first set, Santi couldn’t do anything to fight Phillip’s hits, who took the lead with a powerful 6-0.

In the second set, Santi tried to fight back and broke his opponent once; nonetheless, the German player won by 6-2.

Santiago will travel to US to prepare for his tour on hard courts.
