Santi Giraldo played the second round at the ATP 500 of Valencia, this time on singles, facing the Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut, who reached the finals of the Moscow Open against the Croatian Marin Cilic.

Cilic is in the 14th place of the ATP ranking. This year he won two titles, the Stuttgart (clay) and the Hertogenbosch (herb), and back in 2013 he got the Madras title in India playing outdoors on hard court.

The match started around 8 am, at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium, where the Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut won against Santi Giraldo with scores of 4-6 and 4-6.

The match lasted one hour and nine minutes in which the strong defense of Bautista overcame Santi’s high percentage of serves.

Now, Santi is getting ready to end this year the best way at the Masters 1000 of Paris.
