I enjoy Spain a lot, is one of my favorite places and Madrid has many special hot spots. Is a place of possibilities, an unexpected city and is always surprising. Restaurants, streets and squares are full of tourists and locals hanging out and sharing adventures. Every corner is a new opportunity to discover something.
I visited the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, because I’m very passionate about horse riding. Recently I found out that the tribunes are part of the Spain’s heritage because of their esthetic. They were designed by Eduardo Torroja. Does the name sounds familiar to you?
Yes! He is Ana Torroja’s grandfather. Ana is one of the most famous singers of this country. She was the lead singer of pop group Mecano.
On another free afternoon I went out with Sorana to one of my favorite restaurants in Madrid called Ten Con Ten. It’s an amazingplace both in food and atmosphere. You should know that Spanish food is my favorite; I can’t resist fried rice with scallops or some crab cannelloni served with the house wine, which taste very good and for an unforgettable evening plié cherries for dessert. Ten Con Ten is an exquisite place.
After a quick break, the training sessions took place in Madrid, Barcelona and at theÁgora in Valencia, City of Arts and Sciences. Is one of the most eye-catching stadiums and an amazing building.
I had the pleasure of teaming up with Oliver Marach, a versatile player who has won a lot of tournaments. We had good chemistry and played a tight match against Horia Tecau and Jean-Julian Rojer. The victory was not for us this time.
After finishing my participation in singles I went to Barcelona. It was a time to think about how far are those days when the season started back in January in Dubai, now in Valencia, and soon in Paris where the season will come to its end.
I get happy when I think I’ll be home soon.
I’m taking some time to tell you the things I’ve seen from a table at Homo Sibaris, one of the places I like to visit when I’m in Barcelona. I’m closing this year with the best attitude and looking forward to succeed in the city of lights: Paris.
I’ll see you soon Colombia.
